Yesterday some frustrated person shot and killed more than 30 people at Virginia Tech. A few years ago we had some snipers in this county, Montgomery County, Maryland, who caused worldwide attention. The snipers were two individuals shooting randomly at anyone. Lots of it simply has to do with anger coming after lust, as described in Bhagavad Gita As It Is:

Radhanath Swami is an exemplary sannyasi and has all humility. We have personally seen this recently, and having offered obeisences he simply embraced us, and took no offense to the many statements we have made. I really perceive he understands our intentions was of brahminical nature...

The killer of a brahmana is put into the hell known as kshatriya, which has a circumference of eighty thousand miles and which is made entirely of copper. Heated from below by fire and from above by the scorching sun, the copper surface of this planet is extremely hot. Thus the murderer of a brahmana suffers from...

Recently I was thinking how Kirtanananda got away with murder. This article by Navadvipa chandra das explains it. If Radhanath Swami was involved or not is a mystery. However, it is for sure that Kirtanananda had been disobeying Srila Prabhupada since 1968. This is very clear from Srila Prabhupada's letters to him from this time.

When I stated that the Ritvik idea is an impersonalistic concept, it is because the Ritvik person wants to make Srila Prabhupada the last link of the sampradya. Yes, Srila Prabhupada listed Himself as a link to the parampara, however when Srila Prabhupada left this world he did not intend there be no future Gurus after him. That would clearly violate the parampara system.

Many devotees have shown great displeasure with the huge amount of salary you are receiving not out of envy but because this is Krishna's laxmi. Srila Prabhupada would not approve of such salaries. I know you are a very nice devotee, and what you have done in the past is a grave mistake, but in public opinion there can't be such flaws in a leader.

Srila Prabhupada is the Founder/Acarya and we are obviously in the line of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and thus to see what standard is given is the duty of all devotees, regardless of positions. That is our first duty. To identify oneself even with the designations of Guru, GBC, Temple President or even being a senior devotee is not all that important. What is important is how well we as individuals follow Srila Prabhupada's teachings.

» Grain Prasadam or Non-Grain Prasadam?

Some temples offer grain prasadam on Gaura Purnima and Janmastami midnight and other days that should be ekadasi prasadam, I found this information that has many quotes from Srila Prabhupada why this is an incorrect standard. Most of these things can also be found in the Prabhupada Siksamrita composed by Ajamila Prabhu.

There is not a Hindu who has not heard the name of this temple. The old and the young, the male and the female, the Rajah and the ryot, and the weak and the stout, all visit this temple out of a religious curiosity. Three hundred and one miles south-west of the Vice-Regal palace at Calcutta, stands this famous temple close to the seashore affording an object for a telescopic observation to the new-comer an broad the ship bound for Bengal.

What do Mahatma Gandhi, Dick Gregory, Jane Fonda, Norman Mailer, Bolivian dissidents, British suffragettes, and Irish revolutionaries have in common? Well, for one thing, at one time or another and for one reason or another, they’ve all fasted. Materially their fasting was somewhat successful, whether it was undertaken to free India from British domination, turn public opinion against the Vietnam War, lose weight, win amnesty for political prisoners, get the right to vote, or what have you.
