Mayapur CPT on Bhakti Vidya Purna Swami

I am writing on behalf of the Mayapur CPT (Child Protection Taskforce) about the above article by Navadvipchandra das in which he makes sweeping serious allegations about Bhakti Vidya Purna Maharaja.

I would like to state categorically that what Navadvipchandra is saying in this article is not true. Firstly BVPS does not have nor drive a motorcycle. The incident of him on a motorbike with a girl was as follows.

One of the teachers from the girls' school had burnt herself at home. She phoned the school and asked for some special medicine they have. At the time, Tulasi Vallabha, a disciple of BVPS was there with his motorbike. BVPS and Sri Radhe, who is the 23 year old principal of the girls' school (not a minor girl), thinking, because of the way it had been explained, that it was an emergency, grabbed the medicine and jumped on the back of Tulasi's motorbike. Sri Radhe was sitting on a rack which extends from the back of the bike and not in contact with BVPS. They went to the teacher's house gave the medicine, dealt with it then made their separate ways back to the school. That was the one and only time they were on a motorbike together. Now it may have not been a particularly sensible thing to do but it was done and then it was finished.

The whole of the Mayapur community does not see them regularly driving off into the sunset and they have not had a falldown, accidental or otherwise. They are not seen and known about by "every single member of the Mayapur community" because this is not happening nor has it happened the way Navadvip is describing.

As far as his spending all day every day in the school this has been dealt with. It wasn't that excessive but his visits to the school were stopped of his own volition. That is all there is to it.

I am making this comment in order to request that you retract Navadvipa's article because it is based on nothing but gossip and speculation. I am not covering up for BVPS. I wouldn't do that. If there was ever any investigation which found evidence that he had been involved in a sexual incident with a minor, he, if found guilty, like any perpetrator of such child abuse, would be out. I'm not afraid of truth speaking but I abhor gossip. Prabhupada said that gossip could ruin our movement and I'm seeing every day how it's impossible to take what people say at face value. There are always 2 sides to a story. Truth should be published where it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be true but gossip is and always will be nothing more than gossip.

I remain yours in the service of our youth,

your servant,
Ramadevi dasi.

Just look how 'covered'the cover up is.He certainly has had his fair share now this.

I have noticed how ISKCON is moving away from excommuunicating or rebuking "falldowns"to covering up their 'sacrosanct ' behaviour.

All glories to you, Prabhu for so clearly and truthfully stating the facts. Some people are really crazy to mention foolish envious gossip all over the internet and misleading innocent devotees. They dont know that soon they all will have to face Lord Krsna and answer Him for the crap they are saying. ISKCON vartaman acarya vrinda ki jai!

The explanation does not sound convincing. I wonder if one day's emegency ride would ever bring up a 'Rumour'. But anyway the fact is estabished that the Swami was on the bike with the lady, that too 3 on one bike. So there is fire behind the smoke!

So the statement "And then there were the secret rides out into the sunset with the girl on the back of his motorcycle, which everyone was aware of. "
Is just gossip? "Everyone being aware" is awfully strong for gossip.
The downgrade from sanyasa is gossip also?
The complaints coming from his own disciples are gossip?
This stretches credibility I'm afraid.
