Dear Devotees of New Vrindavana and Sri Sri Radha-Vrindavanacandra, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am writing on behalf of the GBC Oversight Board.

First, I wish to thank all of you for your continued devotion to Srila Prabhupada’s New Vrindavana Community. Also, I wish to thank you for the warmth that you have shown to the members of the GBC Board during our several visits there. My wife, Rukmini, and I certainly felt at home during our weekend visits, primarily due to the hospitality of the local devotees. We look forward to coming more often in the future, and assisting you in your service to Srila Prabhupada.

The GBC Board wanted to inform you directly about some changes that are occurring in the leadership structure of New Vrindavana. As you all know, change is one of the constants in this world, and our duty as devotees is to adjust to changes, while always looking for opportunities to enhance our service to Srila Prabhupada and his society.

Kuladri prabhu, who has offered many, many years of dedicated service to Srila Prabhupada, New Vrindavana and ISKCON, has been requested by the North American GBC leadership to be more directly involved in North American projects. These include development of a North American Office and fund raising for a multitude of strategic initiatives that have been developed but are, up to now, mostly under funded.

At the same time, the GBC Board and the NA leadership believe that Kuladri’s service to New Vrindavana, especially in the areas of legal matters and fund raising, is critical to the health and progress of the community.

To balance these two essential areas, Kuladri prabhu will now be officially splitting his time between New Vrindavana and North American ISKCON. In short, Kuladri is resigning from the New Vrindavana Board and any daily management functions connected to New Vrindavana. He will continue as head of the Fund Raising department and will oversee key legal issues that currently exist, including the Turley suit. And, of course, he will continue to consult with the GBC Board on critical issues. We expect that Kuladri will spend about one-half of his time on New Vrindavana duties.

Many of the details are being worked out but, as Kuladri’s involvement is so integral to New Vrindavana, we wanted to keep you “in the loop.” Naturally, there will be some bumps in the road as we make this transition. We request you to be a little flexible and to work with us, the local board, and Kuladri prabhu to make the transition as smooth as possible. We will inform you of additional details as they are worked out over the couple of weeks.

Your servant,

Anuttama dasa
