Care for Cows in Vrindavan
By Kurma Rupa Dasa
There are approximately three to four hundred abandoned cows in Vrindavan requiring accommodation. Unless they are protected they are destined to subsist on refuse and become plagued by various debilitating and often terminal diseases or suffer injury from careless motorists. However, the most immediate danger is that they become abducted for slaughter by cattle rustlers who are active in this area today. Our present facility is full and there is an urgent need to acquire more land for their protection. Get Connected to Govinda and Goloka! Serve Abandoned Cows in Vrindavan Our November Care for Cows Newsletter has been posted. Please review it at your earliest convenience. http://careforcows.org/drupal/downloads/newsletters_0 This month we present: 1. Govardhan Puja and Gopastami Festival report 2. Your friend and servant, May cows stay in front of me; may cows stay behind me; may cows stay on both sides of me. May I always reside in the midst of cows. ~ Hari Bhakti-vilas 16.252 |
