On Sunday 25th March 2007 Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple near Watford will be holding its annual Rama Navami (pronounced Ram Naumi) celebration, from 12 noon onwards. The festival of Rama Navami observes the birth of Lord Rama.

Lord Rama exemplifies high moral values. He overcame great difficulties which is depicted in the famous Indian epic The Ramayana.

The beautiful stories of Lord Rama show how he is the perfect son, the perfect student, the perfect brother, the perfect husband, and the perfect king. He is the perfect teacher to society and if some these qualities were to be imbibed in our leaders then our world a very different place. The festival is a focal point for moral reflection and being especially charitable to others.

The festival will include:

  • Drama by the famous Bhaktivedanta Players
  • Devotional music in front of the world famous beautiful shrine as people sing and dance.
  • Last year over 10,000, plates of free vegetarian food was distributed
