In December 2006, an intense period of discussion unfolded on the history of Kirtanananda's New Vrindaban, and the murders that allegedly, and factually, took place there. This discussion began primarily as the result of a news report that Radhanatha Swami, accompanied by Candramauli Swami, had attempted to visit Kirtanananda in prison. The two were prevented from entering the prison because drug-sniffing dogs alerted to the presence of illicit drugs on their persons.

This article sparked a response from Tirtha in prison and a subsequent response from Janmastami dasa. A significant amount of new information was disclosed by various parties, other known information was placed in new context, and various analysis and commentary came as a result.

Over the course of the last four months as this discussion has been underway, various sources have given your Sun editors a significant number of documents and evidentiary artifacts on the subject of the New Vrindaban murder conspiracy and other grievous acts that took place during and after Kirtanananda's reign.

Today, we will begin to present these documents. Due to time constraints, the majority of the documents will likely be scanned rather than keyed-in as text. While this may make it more difficult for our readers to copy/paste and comment on the information, it will preserve the information in its source form, which is important.

We will periodically offer our own analysis and commentary as these documents help to shed light on the darkest chapter of ISKCON's history, as well as the current power structure of the institution.
