By the grace of Srila Prabhupada and the efforts of his sincere followers, the number of practicing devotees in ISKCON is increasing all over the world. Most of such devotees do desire to get married, and it is essential that they be married to other practicing devotees. However, devotees often end up marrying non-devotees, forgetting the following instruction of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead:

asat-sanga-tyaga — ei vaishnava-achara

"A Vaishnava should always avoid the association of the non-devotees. "

And because of the influence of non-devotee association, such marriages generally do not help the devotees increase their Krishna consciousness.
