We recently had the good fortune of meeting Radhanath Maharaja at the opening of the Tirupati temple and in Mayapur, we also talked with Candramauli Swami about New Vrindavan's past..

After talking to him I thought that all these things better be left in the past as they will do us no good to contemplate further. I recall the verse from Bhaktivinoda Thakura's the Jiva Soul:

Forget the past that sleeps and ne'er
The future dream at all,
But act in time that are with thee
And progress thee shall call.

What will all this faultfinding of Radhanath Swami do to one's spiritual advancement? Actually the Chowpatty temple is doing wonderful under Radhanath Swamis guidance.

SB 11.23.48: Failing to conquer this irrepressible enemy, the mind, whose urges are intolerable and who torments the heart, many people are completely bewildered and create useless quarrel with others. Thus they conclude that other people are either their friends, their enemies or parties indifferent to them.

SB 11.23.59: No other force besides his own mental confusion makes the soul experience happiness and distress. His perception of friends, neutral parties and enemies and the whole material life he builds around this perception are simply created out of ignorance.

Actually Radhanath Swami is giving shelter to many sincere devotees, that are all serving the mission of Srila Prabhupada. Is it proper to shake the faith of such persons?

Radhanath Swami is certainly a bonafide Guru glorified by the Srimad Bhagavatam:

SB 11.26.32: The devotees of the Lord, peacefully fixed in absolute knowledge, are the ultimate shelter for those who are repeatedly rising and falling within the fearful ocean of material life. Such devotees are just like a strong boat that comes to rescue persons who are at the point of drowning.

I also talked to Mahadyuti Prabhu the TP of Soho Street temple about some incident where Radhanath Swami had advised against a younger lady marrying an older devotee, actually Maharaja proved to be right as this marriage did not last and the male devotee turned into his old hippy ways, but Radhanath Swami apologized for getting involved when the couple asked for his advise and he advised against it AND THEY GOT UPSET, but he gave the right conclusion actually.

Radhanath Swami is an exemplary sannyasi and has all humility. We have personally seen this recently, and having offered obeisences he simply embraced us, and took no offense to the many statements we have made. I really perceive he understands our intentions was of brahminical   nature and not just faultfinding. Personally I am so happy we have wonderful sannyasis in ISKCON like Radhanath Maharaja. Having just returned from India we had two wonderful realizations, one about forgiving persons for their mistakes. secondly about the glories of Krishna's devotees, worship of the Lords devotees is worship of Him.

Our friend Madhavananda Prabhu (gopalajiu) just published a small book: Vaisnava institutions and the sweet dealing of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu: the first chapter has a few quotes I like to mention, the title is: We exist on cooperation. First he quotes SB 2.7.19 purport:

The whole process is that all living entities, being constitutionally parts and parcels of the supreme living being, the Absolute Personality of Godhead, have proportionately minute independence of action also. So the preliminary qualification for entering into the devotional service of the Lord is that one become a willing cooperator, and as such one should voluntarily cooperate with persons who are already engaged in the transcendental devotional service of the Lord. By cooperating with such persons, the prospective candidate will gradually learn the techniques of devotional service, and with the progress of such learning one becomes proportionately free from the contamination of material association. Such a purificatory process will establish the prospective candidate in firm faith and gradually elevate him to the stage of transcendental taste for such devotional service. Thus he acquires a genuine attachment for the devotional service of the Lord, and his conviction carries him on to the point of ecstasy, just prior to the stage of transcendental love.

Next is a letter to Madhumangal of 16 novermber of 1972:

We should not criticize each other as vaisnavas because there is fault in everyone and we may ourselves be subject to criticism. The best thing is to be  above suspicion ourselves then if we see discrepancies and make suggestions then others will automatically respect and take action to rectify matters. That is cooperation. We must exist on such cooporation, otherwise the whole thing is doomed if we simply go on fighting over some small thing. So try to organize things and preach together in this spirit and that will please me very much.

Radhanath Swami and his disciples are doing nice service to Srila Prabhupada. Why cant we just see the good and appreciate? Anyhow we appreciate very much the many wonderful devotees worldwide in ISKCON. The mood in Mayapur at the GBC meetings was a mood of gentlemanly behavior and cooperation. I was so glad to see this and enjoyed the association of the devotees very much, and we feel very much humbled and appreciation for the worldwide community of ISKCON devotees. If devotees can meet every year in Mayapur many problems will be solved simply by dancing and chanting together and doing sadhana together.

SB 11.26.34: My devotees bestow divine eyes, whereas the sun allows only external sight, and that only when it is risen in the sky. My devotees are one's real worshipable deities and real family; they are one's own self, and ultimately they are nondifferent from Me.

All glories to Srila Prabhupadas ISKCON family

We can accept anybody as guru, regardless of qualification. Yes Radanatha wants us to forget the past...and with good reason. But revision and misrepresentation is not forgetting. He paints himself as being a model devotee for most of his life. If he wants those of us who know better to forget his involvment in nefarious activities then it is best he does not glorify himself or his model life.
It's nice he is engaging disciples in service...as siksa ...this is very nice...but as diksa he must take them back to Godhead. Is he bona fide? Not if he covers up his sinful activities. Not if he misrepresents himself. But those who get cheated often want to be, so I agree there is no point in trying to present fact and proof of Radanatha's real character.

Srila BhaktisiddanthaPrabhupada has stated that it is better to look for ones own faults, also it is the advise of Sri Krsna

SB 11.28.1: The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: One should neither praise nor criticize the conditioned nature and activities of other persons. Rather, one should see this world as simply the combination of material nature and the enjoying souls, all based on the one Absolute Truth.

SB 11.28.2: Whoever indulges in praising or criticizing the qualities and behavior of others will quickly become deviated from his own best interest by his entanglement in illusory dualities.

SB 11.28.3: Just as the embodied spirit soul loses external consciousness when his senses are overcome by the illusion of dreaming or the deathlike state of deep sleep, so a person experiencing material duality must encounter illusion and death.

SB 11.28.4: That which is expressed by material words or meditated upon by the material mind is not ultimate truth. What, therefore, is actually good or bad within this insubstantial world of duality, and how can the extent of such good and bad be measured?

SB 11.28.5: Although shadows, echoes and mirages are only illusory reflections of real things, such reflections do cause a semblance of meaningful or comprehensible perception. In the same way, although the identification of the conditioned soul with the material body, mind and ego is illusory, this identification generates fear within him even up to the moment of death.

SB 11.28.6-7: The Supersoul alone is the ultimate controller and creator of this world, and thus He alone is also the created. Similarly, the Soul of all existence Himself both maintains and is maintained, withdraws and is withdrawn. No other entity can be properly ascertained as separate from Him, the Supreme Soul, who nonetheless is distinct from everything and everyone else. The appearance of the threefold material nature, which is perceived within Him, has no actual basis. Rather, you should understand that this material nature, composed of the three modes, is simply the product of His illusory potency.

SB 11.28.8: One who has properly understood the process of becoming firmly fixed in theoretical and realized knowledge, as described herein by Me, does not indulge in material criticism or praise. Like the sun, he wanders freely throughout this world.

SB 11.28.9: By direct perception, logical deduction, scriptural testimony and personal realization, one should know that this world has a beginning and an end and so is not the ultimate reality. Thus one should live in this world without attachment.

it is ok to see the good, but what will this finding faults in Radhanath Swami do?Better to glorifie Krsna

"Whoever indulges in praising or criticizing the qualities and behavior of others"
Please notice the "praising" term.
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta is claiming here one should not fall prey to the duality of honor and defamation.
However there are bigger issues here than mundane reputation. The spiritual welfare of disciples are at stake.
One is exhorted to very carefully analyze the character and devotional qualifications of a devotee before accepting him as guru. Srila Prabhupada insisted that they be at least on the brahma-bhutah platform, not to mention uttama-adhikari. This is not a sentimental or blind process. If it is please show me the sastric evidence. If I presented myself to your GBC and expected to be accepted as a diksa guru , they would laugh, knowing very obviously that I am no where near the requisite spiritual platform. Is this fault-finding? No. It is scientific knowledge. It is something to which Radanatha seems to have a whimsical indifference - the Truth.

Payonidhi prabhu quotes extensively from Hridayananda Maharaja's own rendition of the 11th Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam, but not at all from Srila Prabhupada's authorised translations and purports, to support his "no criticism" theory. If he were to go through Srila Prabhupada's teachings, he would see that Prabhupada said we should expose wrongdoers who are in the guise of Vaisnavas.

There's something that is quite repugnant about the sappy whining tone of these defenses of Radanatha on the basis of that one-trick pony of "iht's better to say nithe things than to cwiticize'.
Especially in the face of the excommunications of so many devotees who have dared to express even the most humble and respectful of objections to Radanatha's behaviour.
It's nice to know that we shouldn't cwiticize. But that rule seems to apply selectively to the self-serving hierarchy. An innocent guest walks into the temple and is generally ignored until he puts a book on the floor. He immediately has the attention of an entire brahmacari ashrama chastizing him, not one explaining why he shouldn't. I've observed this mentality over and over again that continues without reproach about how it isn't nithe to cwiticize.

Srimad Bhagavatam was written by Srila Vyasadeva including 11th Canto , there is many quotes about faultfinding from Srila Prabhupadas books I included some quotes from Srila Prabhupadas letter and second Canto too.We should be non envious then only can we judge others, like Jesus Christ said don't trhow stones if you live in a glass house
SB 5.18.8: I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiḿhadeva, the source of all power. O my Lord who possesses nails and teeth just like thunderbolts, kindly vanquish our demonlike desires for fruitive activity in this material world. Please appear in our hearts and drive away our ignorance so that by Your mercy we may become fearless in the struggle for existence in this material world.

SB 5.18.9: May there be good fortune throughout the universe, and may all envious persons be pacified. May all living entities become calm by practicing bhakti-yoga, for by accepting devotional service they will think of each other's welfare. Therefore let us all engage in the service of the supreme transcendence, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and always remain absorbed in thought of Him.
lets preach pure devotional service and worship Srila Prabhupada ,what will this wasting of time do us?

was New Vrindavan an insane place, surely ?Do you have to take disksa and siksa from Radhanath Swami ?
So then what is the issues of importance ?It is in the past, move on and be happy in your own KC , you be the leader and be pure.Krsna and Lord Caitanya sees everything , noone gets away with anything that is having faith in Krsna, leave it to Him and stop being in anxiety , if someone has to many faults and instead of meditating on Krsna one meditates on this persons mistakes, is this KC?
Like the story of the prostitute and the brahmana , the brahmana meditated on the activities of the prostitute and she on the the brahmana being pious.Anyhow bees goes for nectar, flies for open sores......I am tired of the flies

I am no yes man, and have spoken out about these subjects strongly, but enough is enough the points have been made already again and again. And now it is becoming faultfinding, and chewing of the chewed. My humble advise leave it up to Lord Narasimhadeva and forget the past and see only the good
it is not blind but intelligent.
we daily worship Lord Narasimhadeva and Sudarshan Chakra, will they not protect us from devitions? But out own Bhajan can not be neglected because we are busy being 24 a day faultfinders..we all have positive service service to do in Srila Prabhupadas service..lets do our service

One point, Payonidi dasa, that you carefully and continually miss is that Radhanatha is an official guru, appointed as such by the leaders of ISKCON. Thousands of innocent disciples are being misled , their spiritual welfare seriously jeaopardized by this endorsement.
To harp on the time factor and whine that anyone's concern with Radhanatha's past complicity to murder is chewing the already chewed is a grossly immoral rationalization. The laws of karma do not forget so easily and neither does Krsna.
Tirtha is in prison for a long time because American society considers murder serious enough to punish Tirtha for the rest of his life. Try approaching the judicial authorities with the argument that they are 'chewing the already chewed'...and see how far you get.
Prison is also where Radanatha belongs. Not on a vsyasana receiving puja and daksina.
There is nothing to discuss, nothing to chew. If Radanatha is so honest and saintly , there should be no difficulty in admitting the truth about his past activities.
Either the number of devotees who have exposed him are lying or Radanatha is lying. But Radhanatha's response or non-response to these accusations are exactly what would be expected if he were guilty.
Evasion and excuse.
The time for cover up is over. But as the old saying goes - power corrupts and the GBC is not likely to admit anything since that would utterly destroy what little credibility it still has.

"Prabhupada:. . . Now, to take such guidance means the spiritual master should also be a very perfect man. Otherwise, how can he guide? Now, here Arjuna knows that Sri Krsna is the perfect person. So therefore he is accepting Him as sisyas te ham sadhi mam tvam prapannam: I am just surrendering unto You, You self, Yourself, and You accept me as Your disciple because friendly talks cannot make a solution of the perplexity." Friendly talks may be going on for years together, but there is no solution. Here, accepting Krsna as the spiritual master means whatever Krsna will decide, he has to accept. One cannot deny the order of a spiritual master. Therefore one has to select a spiritual master whose order, carrying, you ll not commit a mistake. You see? Now, suppose if you accept a wrong person as spiritual master, and if you, if he guides you wrongly, then your whole life is spoiled. So one has to accept a spiritual master whose guidance will make his life perfect. That is the relation between spiritual master and disciple. It is not a formality. It is a great responsibility both for the disciple and for the spiritual master. And... Yes?

We have seen the many pictures of the devotees murdered in New Vrindavan posted here etc and heard comments on other websites that we want to make sure no one joins Srila Prabhupadas movement. It is out of hand.
Why are such persons acting as Kali's messenger and making sure no one will want to join ISKCON?
This is Srila Prabhupadas movement, and he wanted people to join ISKCON.
What ever happened in New Vrindavan has nothing to do with ISKCON, as ISKCON had expelled New Vrindavan headed by Kirtananda Swami . It seems we should be happy Kirtanananda got exposed for what he is and simply move on.Srila Prabhupada would not have liked this, that devotees are defaming his movement, has not enough damage been done???Lets move on, stop being stuck on the past! The FBI did not convict Radhanath Swami of anything but you and others have ,where is the evidence he was involved? They don't exist, ...please think about it

What Rocana das, Mahavidya and Shyam das all have in
common .
Is they all just find faults and are not trying to find solutions and blaming all problems including their own personal problems on ISKCON, Radhanath Swami and others They blame Krsna Himself and I do not want anything to do with their bogus way of thinking? Neither supporting their view points or to try to make anything rational out of them/Actually this website is mainly dedicated to ROCANA''s own agendas and this self glorification and trying to gain power in ISKCON through bogus journalistic approach, like yellow press this website has become unfit for any gentleman to read or visit. I have posted my responses at
http://www.hare-krishna.org/articles/1227/1/Payonidhis-Sentimental-Journal/
http://www.hare-krishna.org/articles/1226/1/History-What-history/
http://www.hare-krishna.org/articles/1225/1/Payonidhi-Uvaca/
These devotees all have one thing in comment they see things, as different from Krsna this is known as Maya, they only see things externally their cause being their materialistic mentality. They have no forgiveness in their hearst and thus their approach is mayic. From now on we shall distance ourselves from this website http://www.harekrsna.com/sun/ /. Rocana das needs to take a good hard look at himself. He is looking for the position of supreme authority and can't have it, it belong to Sri Krsna. But he will keep trying and finding faults even with Sri Krsna. One gentleman called it a cyber toilet, I now realize he was right. This website mainly serve the agenda of the ritviks and other bogus ideas/Rocana das is at heart a ritvik, but does not dare to admit it
Signing off on this website http://www.harekrsna.com/sun/

Rocana dasa is a very dedicated disciple of Srila Prabhupada who has been ruthlessly treated and ousted from ISKCON because he dared to point out that Radanatha was engaged in some scandalous activity - visiting Kirtananda, among other things. It is one's moral obligation as a Vaisnava to point out such activites, (like child molestation), if they threaten the spiritual welfare of the society. Silence is consent.

Payonidhi, you equate the very necessary and legitimate act of exposing corruption with trivial mean-spritied fault-finding. The immediate and only strategy you and other ISKCON 'company men' that have posted here is personal attack, the fallacy known as 'ad hominem'.
When you can't address the message - attack the messenger's character.
I have read the letters and interactions of the GBC on several topics and they give new meaning to 'personal agenda' and 'fault finding'.
Using the work 'Ritvik' as a catch phrase for everything bogus is mindless.
I don't happen to agree with the ritvik position but I don't consider it evil and maya.
So fault-finding is there in the ISKCON authoritarian hierarchy with a vengance to the point of physical danger .
Sulocana found that out.
So please Payonidhi spare us your self-righteous condemnations of those who would save the innocent from cheaters and liars. One doesn't have to frequent this site to know ISKCON has deviated seriously - it's history speaks for itself. You want forgiveness? Then admit to the wrongdoings and have Radanatha answer for the major discrepancies in his behavior. Otherwise you are just making a lot of incoherent noise like a frightened animal without any real defenses.

the thing is Rocana has a past too, he does not like to recall, but he finds faults with everyone else.He was just another bhogus TP that had illicit sex while being married. But he has nothing good to say about Tamal Krsna Maharaja, Bhakti Tirtha Swami ,Radhanath Swami and a million other sannyasis , like Satsvarupa Swami, Candra Mali Swami etc.His heart is dark and sees through dark vision of tama guna. That is his unfortunate situation

By the way Radhanath Swami is not sending anyone to kill you or any socalled offenders so stop being paranoid
