[Janmastami Das replies to the recent letter from Tirtha Das. The numbered points are excerpts from Tirtha’s letter, and the “Answer” is Janmastami’s response.]

1. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga. Hare Krsna and Happy New Year. I hope you are well.

Answer: True enough.

 2. I recently received  one of the Janmastami blogs to review, "NV History, for the record," Janmastami,  AKA John Sinkowski.  What is disturbing to me is how many devotees are becoming  confused and unsettled over these accusations.  I previously was reluctant to  delve into these matters, wondering what good might come from regurgitating such  things from the past.

Answer: True.

3. However, because unscrupulous persons have dared to falsify and distort the facts, I am forced to come forth and respond. However, I wish to make my position clear. I do so only in the interest of truth and justice.  Therefore, I'd like to present a more complete presentation of what I  know to be the truth, presented from my own personal involvement of events.  I encourage you to use on the various web-sites, to refute, point by point, these lies  and wild accusations of Janmastami and others, who regrettably, appear to have  lost their minds.  You may quote me as you please.

Answer: In a truth functional analysis run on tirtha's statements, we found only a 30% truth ratio, but we'll leave that to those examining these documents to decide. Tirtha gives us the right to quote him as we see fit and we shall do so here.

4. The internet gives facility to both the well wisher and the blasphemer.   Unfortunately, poison words that spew forth from cyberspace into the  minds of anyone who might read them act like a virulent disease.   Such accusations, left unchecked for too long, can serve to erode the consciousness of not a  few well meaning but impressionable devotees, with twisted words being accepted  as fact.  I will say from the start that my presentation is not for personal  vindication or mitigations of my culpability.

Answer: "not for personal vindication" is not true. It is expressly "for personal vindication", and that person is Radhanath and any of his NV cronies.

5. While I shall always remain a villain  to some, it is one thing for people to dislike me for my personal involvement in  unpleasant activities, but quite another to unjustly label everyone who ever lived  at NV as corrupted or suspect.

Answer: these "unpleasant activities", the multiple murders of devotees for Tirtha's, as yet, unstated reasons, are the proper reason that some at NV are suspect. it's not like this didn't happen or something.

6. Imagine if someone had ever physically attacked Srila Prabhupada.

Answer: the judge might advise Tirtha that he didn't want to hear Tirtha's "imagination", but rather the facts, but since the issue goes to more of one of "group think" rather than his own imagination, let us go there. t5his was the very same rallting cry used by radhanath to incite others to attack sulocan. Tirtha still holds this same mentality, in fact, if it were not for his sparce "i'm sorry for gettibg caughts", it might be a recruitment speech for a replacement hit man. the current crew has been unsuccessful in their recent attempts.

7. Practically to a person all of his disciples and well wishers would have wanted to see  blood retribution.  This point can't be overstated.  Even though there would  have been calls for calm, it would have been difficult to guarantee such a  person's safety and destiny.  Especially so if Prabhupada had been seriously hurt, as Kirtanananda (K) was.  Therefore, it should come as no surprise that  K's disciples and well wishers thought in similar terms.

Answer: The problem here that Tirtha seems to miss is that not everyone agrees with his basic premise accepting the right to use "lethal force" to accomplish ones mission, regardless how noble those intentions may have been at the time of the planning. when surveillance turned to stalking, in February 1986, the conspiracy to survey, which Tirtha and his mentor, Randall Gorby, had turned into a conspiracy to stalk, I left this ill fated program. with the exception of one slight imperfection in his testimony, an obvious oversight, Tirtha's statements here corroborate these facts. the similarities that Tirtha alleges, justifying his actions, do not exist and therefore this argument is invalid.

8. Yet even after the NV devotees caught and held Triyogi for the police, they did not harm him.

Answer: that's not true, if Dayavira hadn't pulled Kuladri off Triyogi, Kuladri might have killed him.

9. hearing of this supposed cowardice, Janmastami remarked, "That's the  problem with Kuladri and these wimps. They have no backbone. He should have been  killed immediately."

Answer: when asked about an earlier devotee killing, Srila Prabhupada said, "he should have acted immediately.". that was our understanding from our authorities, radhanath and kuladri. Tirtha tries to make this sound like him tryimg to stop "the onrushing tide". the "onrushing tide" to kill sulocan was randall gorby, A GOVERNMENT PLANT, that, to this day, Tirtha cannot figure out how or why he turned on NV. a more important question that Tirtha is even less equipt to answer is "when did randal turn on the KRSNA's?". knowing about the PB affair with gorby's daughter, which Tirtha apparently doesn't, would put this more into perspective.

10. Triyogi's attack changed just about everything at NV, and especially  for K.  A very different K emerged after his attack and subsequent coma.   Upon  awakening he was fond of German Shepherd dogs, and would appear to be much more  openly homosexual.

Answer: a number of points here, according to current NV analysis, the sexual activities were a result of the attack, when just the opposite, the sexual improprieties prompted the attack, was the case. also admitted here, "much more openly homosexual" implies that it was there all along, just that it was done out of sight or "at manageable levels". and after this point, it got out of control. noting that, this is basically a true statement.

11. It is no exaggeration to state that K was almost as revered at NV as  Srila Prabhupada.

Answer: yes, it would be an exaggeration to say that he was "almost as revered as Srila Prabhupada". Kirtanananda Swami stated it often(4 such references in Devamrita Swami's published book of Kirtanananda Swami quotes, Bhaktipada Bullets) that he had surpassed his spiritual master, but that he would be famous as the Kirtanananda Swami guru.

12. Some magazines and books published at NV described K as, "Founder-Acarya of the New Vrindaban Community," even though other  devotees had an equal hand in its founding, and as "Srila Prabhupada's first  sannyasi disciple."  Even before this time a strong personality cult began to  evolve around K. His word was law.  His power completely centralized and  absolute.

Still, it was not seen as a bad thing.  In the movement worldwide,  devotees sought strong leadership from a central figure.   NV was no exception to  this mentality.  At NV , it was either K's way or the highway.

Answer: true

13. Dissenters  were neither welcome nor tolerated.  Should someone stray into that  dangerous area, persons like Janmastami would heap scorn upon them, sometimes even  physically threatening them.   Not a few good people were sent packing simply for  questioning K's tactics or motives.

After Triyogi's attack on K, Janmastami openly bragged that if no one  else had the stomach for defending the guru's honor, he would.

Answer: after Kirtanananda Swami’s attack, I was told to stay on SKP, which I did, until I was told to come home for new years.

14. What was worse, Sulocana foolishly intimated that he had a hand in coaching Triyogi's attack.

Answer: Sulocana's claims, the recently made ones or those from the past, were a closely guarded secret among NV's inner circle. Such information could not be dispensed to the rank and file devotees, lest chaos ensue. Tirtha was more "in contact" with Kuladri and Radhanath than I was. He seemed to need a "daily dose of encouragement". If I ever needed to contact The Farm, I contacted Devananda das, the Temple Commander, and after leaving NV at New Years, I did not talk to Kuladri or Radhanath again until India, 6 months later.

15. That was akin to signing his own death warrant

Answer: apparently, a true statement.

 16. Sulocana was already greatly  disliked at NV due to his rambling expose, "The Guru Business." Plus he openly advocated the use of violence against all of the ISKCON gurus. Quite naturally, Sulocana became a prime target  for NV's frustration and anger

Answer: Sulocan's guru was Srila Prabhupada. His wife had "the Jaya Tirtha experience" before coming to Kirtanananda Swami.  Sulocan as "a prime target of NV's frustration and anger" paints the perpetrator as a land mass, however "holy" that land mass may be, but it fails to paint the human faces on the individual perpetrators of those acts.  "NV's frustration and anger" resulted in the deaths of more than one devotee. These are the real issues here, not someone’s supposed "honor".

17. The devotees at NV weren't a bunch of brainwashed Moonies.

Answer: from whats been said so far, there are some who would challenge this assertion.

18, They were  thoughtful, if isolated devotees, who were loyal to a fault to their authority  figure, K.

They were all wonderful Vaisnavas who kept up a high standard of  worship for Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban-Chandra.  Prabhupada's Palace  was a fabulous success and a growing tourist attraction.   The kirtana's and  other programs were enlivening.  NV was a dynamic spiritual Tirtha.

Answer: not sure what "thoughtful devotees, loyal to a fault to Kirtanananda Swami" means other than murders and conspirators to murder.

19. One must not forget that in KC, loyalty and submissiveness to the  spiritual master is everything.   Without pleasing the spiritual master one cannot  make any advancement.  If you wanted to please Srila Prabhupada at NV. You did  so by first pleasing K.  Love me, love my dog. There was no other way of looking  at it.   To many NV residents, K was everything.  He was their living link to Srila Prabhupada.  Accordingly, as K went, so did NV.

Answer: Tirtha takes "the bully pulpit", the long sought spotlight for the murder he commited that would make him famous, and uses it to preach the philosophy of his current guru. "as went Kirtanananda Swami, so went NV. without him, all would be lost", this was the philosophy that prevailed at that time, and it still does. the object of worship, now radhanath and no longer Kirtanananda Swami, has been changed, but the same exact philosophical principles that led to the sulocan killing are still being espoused here by Tirtha, apparently with much assistance in his theorhetical preparations, from ISKCON/NV friendly associates on the outside with quite adequate internet connections. I too "don't own a computer", nor have I received ANY financial compensation from NVC.

 20. After Triyogi attacked K, Sulocana stepped up his rhetoric and verbal  attacks on K and other persons at NV.

Answer: true

21. As a publicity stunt he traveled to the  Moundsville area and checked himself into the local jail, claiming his life was in  jeopardy.  From his cell he issued strange, rambling "Press releases." His  publicity stunt was a bust. He returned to California.

Answer: sulocan's safety precautions were no "publicity stunt", if anything, they were inadequate.

22. A few months later, Sulocana returned to Moundsville area. He visited  the US Attorney's Office of William Kolibash in Wheeling, WV, with "evidence"  of wrongdoing by K and NV.   The Feds weren't so sure. To them it looked  like a lot of smoke, but no fire.

Answer: the feds were "sure". they just had a plan that was still beyond Tirtha's ability to perceive. the rest of the statement is true

23. Then Sulocana began telephoning NV, threatening  to kill Kuladri and his children from a sniper's position in the woods.  He  threatened to kill his ex-wife Yamuna and her new husband.  He declared war on NV.  His threats were taken very seriously. The police were called.

Answer: statement is basically true

24. In this there  were actually two phases of organized, authorized surveillance of Sulocana, conducted  as a combined effort of the police and NV.

Answer: "authorized" is not a fact.

25. Its purpose was to keep a close,  detailed surveillance of Sulocana, to both track his movements and observe if he  was engaged in any illegal activity.

Answer: if any "authorized surveillance" led to the murder of the victim of the suveillance, by those conducting the suveillance, the agency authorizing such a covert operation would have serious problems with their superiors. there is no "serious problem from the superiors" here because it was these "superiors that promoted this overly zealous pursuit of a cult dissident.

  26. It was during this first authorized  phase that Kuladri and others at NV played a logistical role.

Answer: true

27. To my knowledge,  during that time period there was no mention by anyone associated with the  leadership of NV or the Sheriff's Department to harm Sulocana.

Answer: this is clearly a manufactured fiction. by his own account, he charges at least "us" with the threats to sulocan's life. were we outside the control on NV authorities?

28. This surveillance  extended along the Ohio-West Virginia area.  The second phase of this surveillance  extended to the Detroit area and to California.  The surveillances in Detroit and California were initiated after the  Sheriff's Department shared certain portions of Sulocana's personal diary wherein  numerous addresses were written.

Answer: the logistics may be accurate, but sulocan's diary doesn't come available to Tirtha until after kuladri and gaura shakti got it from the warden of the prison/county jail, warden bordenkircher, who was under the direction of the wheeling office FBI agents that sulocan was seeing.  does Tirtha expect us to believe that sulocan spent 6 months in jail and the FBI made no further contact with him?  he may think like that, but we know other than that as the case.

29 It was in California where I met Janmastami,  who was already looking around in the area of the LA temple. He openly spoke  of the need for killing Sulocana, and volunteered to assist in killing him.

Answer: sent to LA for unstated purposes, NV made arrangements for me to pick up Tirtha at the airport and to transport him around the LA area in my vehicle.

30. He  never said that he was under orders from anyone to kill Sulocana, but rather,  insisted it was his duty as a disciple of K.

Answer: an obvious negation of the facts, if we were never ordered out there, how did we both come to be together in that location at that time? chance? the last time I saw Tirtha prior to picking him up at the airport, he had threatened to kill me over a well that he improperly cased that caved in on him.

31. In his van he kept a large metal  strong box where he stored several guns, knives, and even a vial of cyanide for  his avowed purpose.

Answer: The cyanide that I transported to Tirtha was from NV. it was a gift from, and with the blessings of the jewelry department at NV which stocked sodium cyanide, apparently for purposes other than those I was given it for.

32. He flatly stated that the surveillance exercise was merely a  prelude to killing Sulocana.

Answer: if his motivation was only surveillance, why did he continue? if I were the murderer, why didn't I continue? perhaps this logic escapes Tirtha.

33. It was during this trip that Janmastami and I traveled first to the San Diego area in hopes of finding Yudhisthir the temple. Unable to locate him  there, we were given the name of a friend of his at the LA temple, Krsna Katha  (KK).

Answer: I do not remember any trip to san diego or ever trying to contact Yudhisthir.  I was shocked when told TPS was doing that over the phone.   To this date, I have come close, but never personally met Yudhisthir Cornia.  i met his wife in court when she represented Ravindra Swarupa prabhu in one of our earlier lawsuits against ISKCON and NVC.

34. We then proceeded to locate KK, who was living in an apartment on Watseka  Avenue, across from the temple. In speaking with KK, we introduced ourselves  as being from NV. I gave my real name and Janmastami referred to himself as  Barney. It soon became evident from speaking with KK that he also had an interest  in killing Sulocana, referring to some vague comment by his guru about giving  Sulocana a "new body."

Answer: the "barney" story started when KK and Prem answered their door, "who is it?". Tirtha responded "fred, from the restaurant". when KK opened the door on the 3 safety chains, he asked "who's that with you?" and Tirtha replied "barney". when KK closed the door to remove the chains, Tirtha joked, "betty and wilma are in the car".  I never told anyone my name and no one asked after that. I never told anyone my name was barney.

35.  It was during this time that Janmastami, Krsna Katha,  myself and one other devotee friend of KK's traveled to Apple Valley in KK's Alfa  Romeo to look for mine shafts. KK's court testimony can substantiate all of this.

Answer: true

36. As it happened, Sulocana was eventually arrested in West Virginia and  sentenced to one year in jail for carrying a concealed, unlicensed weapon. With  Sulocana locked up he no longer posed a threat to NV, and the entire matter was  defused.

Answer: true

37. Months later when Sulocana was released from jail, a second  unauthorized surveillance was begun by myself, Randall Gorby, and persons from the  LA temple.

Answer: this is false, a red herring, to take us away from radhanath's involvement. sulocan wasn't out "for months" before Tirtha found and killed him. he's lying here to cover their involvement and the dates will verify his deceit

38. I took steps to secure approval for dealing with Sulocana.

Answer: true

39. Because of Sulocana's outspoken criticism of all ISKCON authorities,  beginning with his supposed exposes, and later, graduating to making direct  threats of harm toward persons at NV and LA, Sulocana was seen as a pariah, and was  persona non grata at both temples.

Answer: true, wanted, dead or alive at either location.

40. Accordingly, and as previously stated, the  first surveillance was initiated under the authority of the local police, who recognized that Sulocana posed a direct threat to the safety and well  being of  persons at NV.

Answer: Tirtha here reiterates his, and NVC's position, that the pursuit of sulocan, this joint operation that NVC was conducting with some vague amorphous law enforcement agency was legitimate. thw FBI was supposed to be "working with sulocan" against NV, and simultaneously "working with NV" against sulocan, and yet Tirtha and company(radhanath, malati, ravindra, et al.) don't see the contradiction or the duplicity in this.

41. It is important to understand with regard to NV's involvement in police authorized surveillance that no inference should be drawn implying  their involvement in any later criminal activity, since as already stated and  as can be verified through court and police records, the first surveillance was  conducted under the umbrella of the local police.

Answer; the truth of this "disclaimer" clause, again, stands or falls with the rights of any police agency to authorize deputies, vigilantes, to conduct their investigations for them.

42. Even before the first surveillance was completed, Janmastami dasa, AKA  Barney, AKA John McPherson, AKA John Sinkowski, was a coconspirator to murder.

Answer: after the first surveillance, when I left the doomed fiasco, there had not been a murder committed yet, except for chakradhari and the prostitute.

43. Later, with the exception of myself, Janmastami and Randall Gorby, who was a  West Virginia resident, all other persons who were part of this conspiracy  were devotees of the Los Angeles temple. The court records indicate as  proof that various Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies thoroughly  investigated these matters and concluded as I have stated above. The court record  is a public document and can be easily obtained by anyone. The Federal Court is  located in Martinsville, West Virginia. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department  is located in Moundsville, West Virginia, 26041. The US Attorney's Office is  located at US Federal Courthouse, Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003.

Answer: another protection clause, disavowing any radhanth or kuladri, or any other NV residents or associates, involvement in any other part of the conspiracy. "how do we know it's a lie?"? two ways, one is that Tirtha is saying it and everynody in ISKCON knows that Tirtha is a liar, and the other way is that Tirtha can't know what others may or may not have been conspiring. he can only testify that he was part of no other conspiracies, he cannot state that no others existed.

44. Prior to this time, in the matter of Cakradhari dasa, the complete  chronology of events and facts is known only to myself and Daruka (Daniel Ried).

Answer: this is another fiction that Tirtha wished was true. he confided in others after the fact and their revelations to the police and others led to the book "monkey on a stick". their fear of Tirtha, after his midnight phone calls threatening,"dig your own grave" were reported to radhanath, who not only took Tirtha's side, but made it clear that there were others available too that would enforce "Farm policy", which ever one was in effect that week. radhanath warned and then threatened those chakradhari friends that chakradhari was gone and they would be too if they weren't more careful. these individuals refuse to come to the temple to this day beacuse of radhanath's involvement in the murder coverup since 1983.

45. Briefly, Daruka was incensed that Cakradhari had purportedly raped his wife,  Vrsni, and wished to kill him in retaliation. When Daruka first informed me of  his intention to kill Chakradhari, I tried my best to talk him out of it.

Answer: the thought of Tirtha being talked into killing by daruka, who used to take physical beatings from dulal chandra, defies belief. pee wee herman forces chuck norris to "put up his dukes". and Tirtha couldn't find the philosophical argument to convince him otherwise.  or maybe he quoted him that BG 1:36 verse, "kill them all, let God sort them out", that he's been quoying thus far.

46. I even proposed that we give Chakradhari a severe beating and have him  permanently banned from the community. Daruka listened, but was not persuaded. He  remained adamant about killing him.

Answer: if this statement is true(and it's not, but if it were), then Tirtha proposed that he could have chakradhari banned from the community. by whose authority could he have proposed such an alternative settlement? Tirtha was a fringee from his first initiation. everybody knew that. Tirtha wanted to kill chakradhari for not paying him that last $ 5,000 that they had agreed upon. in Tirtha's mind, escrowing $ 5.000 against a well gone bad, constituted "plundering riches" and qualified chakradhari to be killed. what chance did sulocan have?

47. I finally convinced him to first speak to K  about the matter, confident that K would counsel him properly. I then personally  drove Daruka to K's house.

Answer:  Tirtha was using daruka, and his current fued with chakradhari over money due, to set chakradhari up. daruka lured chakradhari into an ambush that tirha would use to establish his threat as "a force to be reckoned with" at NV.

48. Daruka informed K what had transpired and of his intention to kill  Chakradhari.

Answer:  even if this is true, it post dates Tirtha's outstanding loan, and therefore his grudge, with chakradhari. Tirtha was fixed on killing, citing his famous BG 1:36 purtport, and he orchestrated daruka into doing titha's dirty work. chakradhari was big and Tirtha knew he couldn't move the body alone. he made daruka the bait to lure chakradhari in and he even used daruka to manipulate Kirtanananda Swami to sanction it.

49. He presented my argument for he had knowledge of Chakradhari previously  raping other women in the community. What was especially troublesome about  his raping Vrsniu was that she still carried stitches from recent childbirth

Answer: here Tirtha admits "my argument", the one for killing chakradhari, that he was making all the time, was the one that daruka finally talked to Kirtanananda Swami about.

50.  K  intimated that Chakradhari should be killed, pointing to Srimad-Bhagavatam  (1.7.16), The Son of Drone Punished, which states, "An enemy who sets fire to the  house, attacks all of a sudden with deadly weapons, plunders wealth or usurps  agricultural fields, or entices one's wife is called an aggressor.  Such an aggressor, though he be a brahmana or a so-called son of a brahmana,  has to be punished in all circumstances… there was no question of sin in  killing such a brahmana's son who provide to be a villain."

Answer: from Tirtha's point of view, and that of his partner kuladri, those that pose any kind of a philosphical challenge to the supremacy of the clan should be physically eliminated. Gita tells us such is the mentality of the demons

51. brahmana's son who provide to be a villain." K emphasized the words  "entices one's wife," what to speak of raping her. He then added, "Besides, who  will ever miss someone like him?" K then suggested Daruka get with me on the  matter, saying I was expert in such things.

Answer: fortunate for all that Tirtha just happened to be sitting outside in the car, when Kirtanananda Swami ordered daruka to "have Tirtha do this whacking for you". strange daruka didn't mention to Kirtanananda Swami that Tirtha was sitting outside in a cold dark car waiting while they were inside plotting the murder that Tirtha was supposed to execute. why wouldn't they have called him in? this story is very "NOT TRUE".

52. When Daruka informed me of what K had said, I was taken aback. I was  somewhat amazed he had given the order to kill another devotee. After thinking  on it for several days I concluded that if K's vision was that Chakradhari should  be killed, I should assist Daruka as he wanted.

Answer: swooning like a victorian maid, or rumsfield on finding no WMD's, Tirtha could not believe that Kirtanananda Swami would send daruka to him, who was waiting outside to do him in, to whack chakradhari, but since it was completely bonafide, scripturally, Tirtha reluctantly accepts to whack this guy that owes him $ 5,000.

53. As previously stated, I hold no desire to mitigate my personal  involvement.  However, I ask that you try to put yourself in Darkua's place. Here  was a man who had befriended Chakradhari when practically no one else in the  community would. He considered Chakradhari his friend and had grown to trust  him, even allowing him to sleep in his own home. But when the first opportunity  arose while Daruka was out of town, he became intoxicated and raped Vrsni,  causing her severe physical and emotional trauma. This heinous crime was  intolerable. And while I am not necessarily advocating taking the law into one's hands,  what happened to these victims is difficult to swallow. For many months  Vrsni hovered near a complete nervous breakdown. This was doubly injurious, since  the act had been perpetrated at the hands of a supposed friend.

Answer: the cover story

54. There was no wide conspiracy to kill Chakradhari as some foolish people  allege, and certainly not by any other members of the NV community aside from  those already stated. Nor was there any need, since sanction came directly  from the top. For my part, I acted solely on the mistaken belief that the test  or guru, sadhu and sastra had been satisfied. I am extremely sorry for my role  in this.  I cannot speak for Daruka.

Answer: "there was no conspiracy to kill chakradhari", except the one that Tirtha just described between he and Kirtanananda Swami and daruka, but it was not nearly "as wide" as the one involving sulocan's murder coverup. Tirtha shows us more of that later.

55. Some time prior to this, K intimated that he wanted one of our  neighbors, Richard Rose, killed. He was emphatic that it be made to look like an  accident. Steps were taken to plot out a location to abduct Rose while he traveled away  from his nearby farm. After about 6 months of such research, K called the  matter off. He later said he never asked us to look for a way to abduct and kill Rose.

Answer: Tirtha takes time out from coming after us to go after Kirtanananda Swami. from david gold's new book, we can see that it was him that Tirtha was stalking and not rose, but then maybe Tirtha could handle two or three things at one time....especially if they were all whackings.

56. Rose was the land owner of the earliest Vrindaban farm that NV was  originally based upon. Because K always told us that Rose was a demon, we  naturally believed him and assumed the same. Demon or not, Rose was at least a  conniving crook. He hoped to void the 99 year lease he had signed with the  devotees and illegally evict them from the land on the plea that the yearly lease  payments had not been made. Due to some sloppy records keep0ing by the devotees,  the accountant could not at first find the proper documentation to refute  his claims.  Later, when receipts were found proving that payment had been made,  the matter was defused.

Answer: basically a true statement

57. After Sulocana was released from jail he first traveled to his parent's  home in Royal Oaks, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. I went there with Randall  Gorby to observe his movements and placed a "Snoopy" bumper sticker on the rear  bumper of his newly acquired van. Gorby thought this would unnerve him.

Answer: this apparent "Foolishness", telling the person you were tailing that you were on him, was a government ploy to escalte the tensions between NV and sulocan. a threat to make him paranoid and armed so the "controlled chaos" that they were planning would come off properly. this wouldn't work if one or the other sides backed down and walked away.

58. Approximately 2 weeks later I received information from Janmastami who was then staying  in Philadelphia, that Krsna Katha (KK) had called him to say that Sulocana  had arrived in the LA area and was living out of his van with Michigan  license plates.

Answer: I never received any phone from krsna katha, in philly or any where else for that matter. I never met or spoke with him, so far as I know, other than on the one trip out to LA that radhanath sent me on. further, I had no contact with this operation after the first week of february 1986, when sulocan was arrested on the weapoms charge, by mutual consent.

59. Shortly thereafter I traveled to LA and met with KK.

Answer: True.

60. In the time immediately after Sulocana's death, several persons were  knowingly and unknowingly engaged in the transfer of several sums of money. It  is important to note that Radhanath Swami and Umapati Swami, played no  role in furtherance of any events connected to any criminal activity. These  events were thoroughly investigated by the police who found no wrong doing on their  parts.

Answer: In his attempt to throw a cloak of protection over those who sent him on his trip after Sulocan, Tirtha attempts to exonerate those he knows to be most intimately involved.  "Thoroughly investigated by the police" resulted in this portion of the indictment from the first and second WV trials. From the list of criminal acts in the indictment, we find:

OVERT ACT 33

…on or about may 25, 1986, defendants Ham and Richard Slavin went to Dhar's house.  Ham instructed Dhar to give him $ 6,000 in cash, when Dhar gave ham the money, he asked whether it was for Tirtha and TPS to get out of the country.  Ham and Slavin indicated it was going to be used for that purpose.

61. After Sulocana's death, a Federal Grand Jury was convened to help  investigate the entire matter. One allegation alludes to Radhanath Swami and the  Assistant US attorney, Michael Stein, giving each other "high fives," outside the  Grand Jury room. We must remember that during this time, William Kolibash of the  US attorney's Office in Wheeling, West Virginia, was singularly focused on  bringing all of NV down, hoping to indict as many people as possible for their  possible role(s) in criminal activity. Millions of dollars and great effort  were expended in their extensive investigation.

Answer: the exact point being that this "sudden friendship" didn't come from "lawyering up" and pleading the 5th amendment. other arrangements had been made, WITH NO NOTIFAICATION of his other, "fellow conspirators", that such a deal had been brokered. this was a requisite for re-entering an ISKCON that was, in ravindra's words, "fully co-operating with all law enforcement agencies".

62.  Among others, the police repeatedly  sought to learn Janmastami's identify from me, since he had identified himself  only as "Barney" to the other coconspirators in LA. Because I refused to  cooperate, they never came to learn of his actual identify.

Answer: the LAPD interveiwed me in june of 1986, in philly and they fully "knew of our identity". Tirtha's self delussions of granduer notwithstanding, the FBI knew it when they went all the way to malaysia  to arrest TPS, but Tirtha was not privy to much information after he was arrested. he has no first hand information, after his incarceration, and yet he speaks as though he could even tell us exactly who his spiritual master is. he cannot.

63. When K began to display certain peculiar, abnormal behaviors, devotees  were quite lenient, thinking the trauma of his attack had caused him some  temporary damage.

Answer: what "devotees" knew of Kirtanananda Swami’s earliest transgressions and were lenient in response? we have not been "lenient" in our assessment of Kirtanananda Swami’s behavoir since we first found out about it in 1995. radhanath has known about these transgressions right from the start and he is the one who applied the liberal, coverup philosophy right from the beginning. not being able to explain his serious lapses in solid reasoning to us, he chose instead to exile us from NV, for life, apparently.

64. When K went to India with his guard dog and took the pooch inside the  temple with him, the Hindus were aghast.

Answer: "the pooch", 200 pounds of snarling attack dog, was definately "a sight" on the india tours. caused a bit of concern back home too.

65. He simultaneously announced more  radical changes for NV, including Christian style music and instruments, and a  great pipe organ. Robes supposedly styled after the Trappist monks supplanted  dhotis and saris. A gigantic Buddha-like Prabhupada murti was constructed behind  the Palace, its scowling face seeming to implore that someone please look  at how NV had taken a wrong turn.

Answer: here Tirtha reveals the NV face on his position. Tirtha knows nothing of the "Prabuddha", except what his handlers have told him. the "prabuddha" must have frowned when kasyapa(AKA varsana swami) and jaya adwaita destroyed it one day, in the dead of night.

66. After a time the community began to split into two camps; the  traditionalists and the faithful. At first their differences were confined to polite  discussions.  But as the numbers of the traditionalists slowly grew, tempers began to  flare.  Questions eventually arose about K sitting on the Vyasasana with his  German Shepherd dog, along with other aspects of his personal behavior.

Answer: at that time, the community was pretty much already "split", what happened after that was simply "ethnic cleansing" by the "pro-radhanath" elements that he placed in charge to stabilize his power after the takeover.

67. However, merely questioning these practices could earn one the wrath of K and  Janmastami. It was during this period that Janmastami first began his campaign of hatred  toward Radhanath Swami. In Janmastami's eyes, anyone who didn't cooperate  fully with the vision of his guru was considered the enemy and part of the  problem.

Answer: we, my then wife(Kirtanananda Swami ordered her to leave me after this) and my children, which I have not even been allowed visitation of sonce then, they were ordered from NVC by radhanath, with garga rsi, the Palace manager, the same one who boinked janet reno's niece, amy hobson (a federal government plant in NVC's infastructure). Tirtha knows nothing of these events since he was in the bowels of the federal system being "rehabilitated" at the time. ravindra swarupa tells us this government rehabilitation process has been so successful , coupled with their ISKCON prison ministry, that Tirtha has made a complete recovery to an "active preacher" status. at least, by current ISKCON GBC standards, he is "in good standing".

68. Later, even after the facts of child molestation came to the surface,  Janmastami continued to defend his guru, threatening violence against those who  dared speak out against K. Janmastami saw Radhanath Swami as the leader of the  rebellion and the would-be usurper of K's once grand empire. Here he began his  blasphemous crusade in earnest.

Answer:  Janmastami continued to "defend his guru" until someone told him what the facts were.  that information never came from NV or any of those "senior devotees" knowing all these facts, it came from my adopted son, hari venu, when he admitted to us, IN 1997, that k swa had been having sexual contacts with venu, as well as others, for several years.  all the reports of k swa's inappropriate behavior were but "a tip of the iceburg" of child abuse that had been coveruped in ISKCON for many years, by multiple high level individuals, both with and without Srila Prabhupada's having been made aware of the facts.

69. Later, when K was barred from NV, the devotees  voted to expel Janmastami for his continued practice of threats against  devotees. Thus, Janmastami's virulent behavior is nothing new.

Answer:  this goes to the issue of our life member claim. who exactly are "the devotees" that voted to bar my family from ISKCON and NV? by whose authority was this accomplished? where is the refund on the "apartment for life" that we were sold? adwaita upgraded his apartment to a $ 500,000 house and several acres. sister piety lived in hers until she died and the rights were assigned to her heirs. how have we come to be exiled without compensation, other than we are a person radhanath no longer needs around?  can we know more about this "vote". since under the 501(c)3, tax exempt organization law, all this information must be "a matter of public record"? we await a full disclosure of this voting process, complete with participants and results.

70.  And now that he has  apparently found a home in the lap of the Rtvik camp, he can blaspheme not only  Radhanath Swami, but all of ISKCON.

Answer: we would doubt that anyone other than one so severely misinformed by his handlers as he had been in the past, would claim that sampradaya sun and Hare-Krishna.org would be called "the lap of the ritvik camp" by any one knowing the facts, as they are, but we must remember that Tirtha himself has told us that he only knows what information is supplied to him by those NVC devotees doing that. can we expect a "fair and balanced" approach to information access? it appears "NOT!".

71. In contrast to this unfortunate fellow,  anyone who knows the character of Radhanath Swami knows what he is truly about.  He is not faking it. He has dedicated his entire life to the propagation of the  holy name, fulfilling the order of his spiritual master.

Answer: all glories, all glories..

 72.  And on the other side,  the accuser, is a person who does not bother to chant even his vowed  rounds, does not follow the regulative principles, and makes it his hobby to blaspheme  devotees.  Why is there even a hesitation or question as to who is telling the  truth? Have devotees so lost their way, become so jaded by the supposed faults of  other devotees that they can't distinguish wrong from right?

Answer: Tirtha's allegations are just that "allegations" and they are based solely on info that is supplied to him by the openly hostile NVC contingent, he rhetorically poses the question, "why is there hesitation in speaking the truth?', when it is he, himself, that has made all this secret, in his dog-like loyalty to radhanath for all these many years.

73. Listen. Why would such an esteemed Vaisnava casually ask the NV  plumber's helper to assassinate someone? To what end would that have benefited  Radhanath Swami?

Answer: it would remove the threat, sulocan, perceived or real, that Tirtha has expanded so lucidly "already existed to NVC leaders".

74. Even on its face it takes an incredible leap to fathom why he or anyone  would ask someone of Janmastami's caliber to do this. More likely, "Here, go  plunge out a stopped-up toilet, or go to Pittsburgh and sell scarves, or maybe  flowers." That is reasonable for the plumber's helper. Everyone who knows Radhanath  Swami is.  Thousands of devotees can vouch for his character. The same can be  said of Umapati Swami and Kuladri. These devotees know only their service to  Srila Prabhupada.

Answer: these devotees don't "only know their service to srila Prabhupada". kuladri knows paychecks that have totaled between one quarter and one half million dollars that he has taken fron NVC community, while living the life of the rich and famous in Pittsburgh and visiting NV occasionally, over the last 5 years. umapati has grown accustomed to that life style that Kirtanananda Swami offered them when he was on top of the food chain. radhanath also. radhanath has grown accustomed to all the perks that having billionaire disciples can bring. we don't take menial devotional service or sankirtan as insignificantly as Tirtha seems to, but then we find Srila Prabhupada to be the current Sampradaya Acarya, by the terms of his final instructions to his disciples prior to his ending the earthly lila portion of His Pastimes. if this makes us "in the lap of the ritvik camp", then Tirtha must know. did anyone tell him IRM website went offline?

 75. But what of this other fellow who blasphemes? Who among you know him  beyond his illogical rantings on the internet? Yet he was not always as crazed as  this. He was once a good devotee with great potential. However, for as long as  I have known him, over thirty years, he always held a penchant for  faultfinding. He has been counseled about it repeatedly, but seeming to no avail. And now  we can see the fruit of an uncontrolled mind. Compounded, since there are  problems associated with being a liar. It's difficult to keep one's collection  of lies lined up properly. Something is always getting out of order, out of  place.

Answer: he seems to have all the problems any liar would face, pretty well listed and dissected. it appears that Tirtha is an expert on the art of duplicity. could this be anything close to "a reason" that ravindra prabhu has sought to glorify Tirtha? "birds of a feather", Srila Prabhupada, AC Bhaktivedanta Swami chimes in, in regard to ravindra prabhu and his co-operation, or rather "his co-optation of ISKCON", for individual financial gain. the results of this dastardly behavior will now visit themselves upon each of these individuals and nothing shall stop them. those barriers were crossed long time past.  these individuals sought a "shakti battle", testing their resolve against ours. they sought to ignore us these last many years when the cash flow stopped heading their way. we may have been driven out, but we will not go away from Lord Caitanya's movement and no one can make us.  no vote ever, taken or imagined, has the right to stand between us and our service to our Lordships, Sri Sri Radha Vrndaban Chandra. when fidel and che sent Vencieramos brigades numbers one and two back to the US after the cane harvest, the message to the woodstock nation was clear. "fix your own house first!" so let it be with ISKCON. fix it or lose it. you GBC prtenders, pretending to speak to others with all the authority of God, Personified, and I tell you this, He / They have appeared and just like in all previous lila- avatars, the caste brahmins don't get it. they really need it spelled out S-L-O-W-L-Y to them.

76. I was not given a death sentence as Janmastami alleges, nor did I  parlay a sentence reduction for my testimony against K. I never changed my  "version" of events, since I never spoke to anyone to give a version. Implying that  my testimony against K was done for a re-initiation guru dakshin is  likewise false.  I never took formal initiation from Radhanath Swami. Nor has NV ever  given me one cent for any of my "expenses".

Answer: when we were contacted for an interview by madalane koppel and her PI, in their preparation for Tirtha's LA defense, our testimony took two days. they concluded that nothing I had to say would improve Tirtha's case and therefore they would not be needing my testimony. kopple said that the government may or may not use my testimony, depending on whether they wanted to "get to the bottom of this" or whether they were just interested in nailing the Swami and it appeared to her that the feds had a preplanned agenda that they were trying to prove. she said that if that was so, they probably wouldn't want my testimony taking the jury in a different direction than what the prosecution was planning to lead them in. the facts would only confuse the pre-ordained "trial by jury" decision they were orchestrating.  (one upcoming LYC expose has the records Kirtanananda Swami was keeping on the government officials) NV was a thorn in the side of the federal government and ravindra and radhanath made deals that made all that go away. again we request ravindra swarup, full disclosure on the results of the sale of the potomac property, against Srila Prabhupada's direct instructions. what came of those millions of dollars? will they tell us?  Tirtha's statements about the money are lies. they were moving money to Tirtha by various means BEFORE I was even kicked out of ISKCON, by them, for posing a threat to their new found livlihood. we request Tirtha to give us full financial disclosure of where his funds to come from, so as to exonerate the individuals in question, rather than just list us the ISKCON blog resumes of these illustrious souls.

 77. Janmastami has also suggested there was a conspiracy between and among  NV, the Warden?, and the FBI. Conspiracy theories aside, Sulocana was housed  in the county jail. There is no warden there, only a Sheriff and his  Deputies. Yet according to his theory we are asked to believe that the Sheriff, under  orders from the FBI, conspired with NV to do… what? And to what end? In  truth, the Feds were vigorously prosecuting NV with the assistance of the Sheriff.  Both agencies were bent on destroying NV. The fact that NV once had the  cooperation of the Sheriff is irrelevant. Once Sulocana was killed, everything  changed.

Answer: in an attempt to clarify the matter so that even Tirtha can understand it, we will put it this way. attorney koppel said that the only defense stategy that she, and therefore Tirtha, had at that time was that his two LWP(life without parole)s in WV was the only thing keeping Tirtha from "a hot needle"(her words for the lethal injection administered, automatically to serial killers and murder for hire killersin kalifornia). it was her only defense. she understood Tirtha's mood to keep the others involved, including radhanath, Kirtanananda Swami, haygriva, umapati, and by then, Devamrita Swami from prosecution, and it appears that that philosophy is very much present, even to the present day.  the sheriff, under the jurisdiction of the warden of the prison, warden bordenkircher, was "a bit player" and always inimical to NV. we are more concerned with "where the friendly relations with law enforcement" crossed the lines of legality and became a part of a mass murders serial killing spree, paid for and funded by those donations people have so kindly given, expecting that they would somehow make it to The Lord's Lotus Feet, the donations having been given in The Holy Dham, so close in proximity to The Deity. somehow or other, this did not happen and we hope to understand why.  Tirtha's failure to comprehend the scope of the government's investigation into NV activities, in no way, rules out these facts as being , at least, possible. he has ruled out this possibility, and thereby a correct understanding of the facts, because it would be most inauspicious for himself and those homies, whoever they were, that have been providing him with his assistance. Tirtha's failure to understand the relevance of the government's intervention, makes it non the less, intrusive, AND ILLEGAL. what's up BIG, BIG ISKCON lawyers? cat got your tongues? protest for higher real estate profits for celibate monks in front of embassies all over the world, but sweep this cesspool of corruption under the nice rug you have put over everything. durydhon also thought he was upon a magic carpet ride, but it turned out that he was all wet, too.  Bhagavad Gita 2; 21 O Partha, how can a person who knows that the soul is indestructible, eternal, unborn and immutable kill anyone or cause anyone to kill? PURPORT Everything has its proper utility, and a man who is situated in complete knowledge knows how and where to apply a thing for its proper utility. Similarly, violence also has its utility, and how to apply violence rests with the person in knowledge. Although the justice of the peace awards capital punishment to a person condemned for murder, the justice of the peace cannot be blamed, because he orders violence to another person according to the codes of justice. In Manu-samhita, the lawbook for mankind, it is supported that a murderer should be condemned to death so that in his next life he will not have to suffer for the great sin he has committed. Therefore, the king's punishment of hanging a murderer is actually beneficial. Similarly, when Krishna orders fighting, it must be concluded that violence is for supreme justice, and thus Arjuna should follow the instruction, knowing well that such violence, committed in the act of fighting for Krishna, is not violence at all because, at any rate, the man, or rather the soul, cannot be killed; so for the administration of justice, so-called violence is permitted. A surgical operation is not meant to kill the patient, but to cure him. Therefore the fighting to be executed by Arjuna at the instruction of Krishna is with full knowledge, so there is no possibility of sinful reaction.  we urge Tirtha's release from WV prison, if and only if, that hot needle still waits for him in kalifornia, if not, let him sit there where, as in koppel's words, "at least he can lift weights and watch the playboy channel", as if that would be how a real devotee would apply themselves.

78. There was a diary of Sulocana's that was seized by police when he was  arrested for the weapons charge. This was made available to persons from NV.  It was probably unethical for the Sheriff's Department to do this, but not  illegal. I did have a copy of this list, as the police made it available for our  authorized surveillance of Sulocana. To state that Radhanath Swami distributed  this list is ludicrous. Where is the proof of this? It never happened. I knew all  of the people that had involvement. Radhanath Swami was not one of them. I  gave Janmastami a copy of the list while we were staying in California.

Answer: if I sat that's where my list came from, how can Tirtha deny that. the answer is simple, he must "fall on his sword for another", his concept of "nobility", were it only not more misplaced than when he placed that same blind loyalty at Kirtanananda Swami’s feet. some people just don't know what to do with that much power, and it produces some strange results. separates the "real pure devotees" from the pretenders.

79. As a point of practical reference, the FBI did not ban Kirtanananda  from ISKCON.  FBI is law enforcement. However, Judge Mehrige did ban Kirtanananda  from setting foot in NV. Likewise, to say that I was awarded… conception  or understanding of what sannyasa really is. It isn't a prestigious  material designation, especially in prison. It means one completely dedicates  his body, mind and words to the service of guru and Krsna. It is a position of  complete humility. People who think sannyasa is a great gift should think  again. It means one enters into a life or penance and austerity, complete  lifelong celibacy, etc.

Answer: If Tirtha is still this foolish as to think that the FBI, liaison for the US justice department, was not involved in this operation, perhaps he has some proof that they were not involved. we would ask him then why does he think that janet reno's neice, amy hobson, a government covert operative, sent to infiltrate NVC, appeared on the scene exactly as "aunt janet" took over the reagan justice department which had NV under scrutiny BEFORE the murder. that had only increased with no restrictions on the government's right to tap phones, read correspondences, et al. by the time she and glenn forte left NV (the punching out, sift change, for federal infiltrators after the election and ouster of the reno justice department), they were convinced that the threat from NV had been neutralized. apparently, they were right in that assessment based on ravindra's recent revelations of his "co-operation" policy. although the names of current NV infiltrators are known to us, we refuse to "out them", as it turns out that such is a federal offense and we can scarce expect the treatment given scooter libby and VP cheney.

 80.  The reason I thought to take sannyasa was because I  fully expected to be executed in California. I wanted to wind up my life in  a mood of greater renunciation. With this in mind I asked the devotees if it was  proper and acceptable under the circumstances. I took sannyasa under that  pretext. In realizing how my vows of sannyasa have upset certain of my Godbrothers  and sisters, I no longer ascribe to using my formal sannyasa title.

Answer: the only reason that Tirtha would "fully expect to be executed" were 1. if he were guilty of murder for hire and 2. he didn't intend to cut a deal and give up the real perpetrator of the "HIRE", the employer whom it was that had "hired" him. this why umapati and not radhanath (the locally senior sanyassi) was used to give Tirtha sanyass initiation. move radhanath to the furthest neutral corner and no one talk about his involvement, until it finally all comes out. KRSNA's Mercy!

81. There are persons who object to devotees visiting or otherwise  communicating with persons who are incarcerated. However, there is an authorized arm of  ISKCON called ISKCON Prison Ministry, authorized by Srila Prabhupada himself.  The head of this department is His Grace Candrasekhara Prabhu. It exists as an  outreach program for incarcerated persons, without discrimination as to offense,  or any other material consideration. If a person contacts IPM asking for  information, etc., such a request is taken seriously and all accommodation is made.  With this in mind, why should anyone object if a merciful devotee attempts to  rehabilitate another fallen devotee who happens to be in prison? Is this not also a  part of IPM's mission? What of my own rehabilitation? Am I to be eternally  condemned?  Is this the Krsna conscious philosophy?

Answer: Bhagavad Gita 2:21, Bhagavad Gita 1:36, Caitanya Caritamrta, antya lila, chapter 2, the entire thing is worth the read(very few purports), and Tirtha's favorite SB 1:7:16.

82. Why then is a fallen devotee or a devotee due to circumstances, that  ends up in prison automatically excluded from spiritual rehabilitation? Where  does it say in sastra that he is automatically and eternally condemned for whatever  offense he has committed? Please quote chapter and verse in sastra to  substantiate this claim. You cannot. Therefore why criticize someone who is working to rehabilitate prisoners who are initiated devotees? The philosophy of  Krsna consciousness is based on compassion. Forgiveness is the defining  characteristic of a Vaisnava. It doesn't imply we become naïve, but it means we are  always ready to forgive those who may have offended or harmed us. Lord Jesus  Christ forgave his tormentors while on the cross. We especially do not hold  grudges and blaspheme devotees we disagree with. When we find a person who  regularly blasphemes devotees we should steer clear of such a person. Even  reading their words and comments will cause us to likewise lose all of our spiritual  credits.

Answer: like a spiritual Saddam Hussein proud and defiant to the end, from the docket and the confessional, this blight on civilized society has his dirty handed apologists come out in drives ib defense of their position, and thereby, in so doing, reveal their true nature. is this what you want to submit your eternal spiritual life to? we ask all thoughtful people to ask themselves these very same questions in regard to "their eternal relationship" with this individual, with any individual, before they commit the same colossal blunders that were made in the past, and apparently, some continue to make, be it us or be it them.

83. If a person has expressed genuine remorse and is truly repentant for their offenses, that is the first step in their rehabilitation. At that point the devotee should be given counseling and examined to try to understand their actual heart in the matter. If they continue to show humility and sorrow for their transgression they should be accepted back. Such a person is never permanently banned from devotee association. Anyone can become deluded and make serious mistakes in their life. We should not be so cruel and callous as to never forgive them. At the very least some atonement should be given them to officially prepare a way for them to become redeemed. Even the Christians are not so hard hearted as some of the devotees pretend to be.

Answer: I didn't quite catch the chapter and verse of the scriptural reference supporting this current thesis. does this supercede the "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality that Tirtha threw around, disguised as "devotional service" in the past?

84. Still, there are some situations where a person can never fully forgive  someone.  If a person wishes to remain inimical toward an offender, that is one  thing.  However, what is the gain of taking this attitude toward persons who  hope to rehabilitate such offenders? Either there is an IPM or there isn't.  And if there is, it must be for all persons. With this in mind, I humbly ask  all devotees to please assist me in going back home to Godhead. Please  help me become spiritually rehabilitated. I accept that I am your servant and  humbly request that you kindly give me some service to perform. If you wish  to know more about me I have a website, Tirthainprison.com.  I am available  for your comments and corrections.

Answer: The menendez defense, feel sorry for the poor orphans, can hardly be taken seriously when their behavior was the cause of their own condition

 85. In closing, too many devotees obsess over incidents they know nothing  about.  Many are addicted to reading accounts and stories, listening to rumors  to the extent that over time they automatically accept whatever is said to be  the truth.  If a lie is repeated often enough it becomes the truth. Listening to  gossip and spreading gossip is prajalpa. If someone genuinely needs to understand  the truth of something, there is a process. Gossip and speculation only poison  one's consciousness.

Answer: we thank all those involved in this purging, this spiritual cleansing, for that is what it has been for us, and the time it takes to try to understand what it is that KRSNA wants of us now. it is true that we each hold a unique perspective of all these things, but what is also true is the we share a common perspective also. those common perspective viewpoints and all the interactions therein are governed by laws, be it the laws of the current state, the vedic laws, or the law of the jungle. peoples advancement in civilization depends on the society's adherence to these laws and a society is known by posterity from those decisions it makes in these regards. we wish the best of lick to those faced with the problems that ajudicating this matter to the satisfaction of all the assembled devotees that have followed these events this far. there has to be quite a degree of commitment, from both camps, but clearly, rival camps exist. it shall be up to those posed of a nature to heal and not to divide, to decide what is the proper course from here. if these decisions continue to be left to the profit taking politicians, masquerading as holy men, we should not expect good fortune to appear.  Sri Isopanisad, mantra 12 teaches us: The problems of life cannot be solved simply by going to the moon planet or to some other planet above or below it. Therefore Sri Isopanishad advises us not to bother with any destination within this dark material universe, but to try to get out of it and reach the effulgent kingdom of God. There are many pseudo worshipers who become religionists only for the sake of name and fame. Such pseudo religionists do not wish to get out of this universe and reach the spiritual sky. They only want to maintain the status quo in the material world under the garb of worshiping the Lord. The atheists and impersonalists lead such foolish pseudo religionists into the darkest regions by preaching the cult of atheism. The atheist directly denies the existence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and the impersonalists support the atheists by stressing the impersonal aspect of the Supreme Lord. Thus far we have not come across any mantra in Sri Isopanishad in which the Supreme Personality of Godhead is denied. It is said that He can run faster than anyone. Those who are running after other planets are certainly persons, and if the Lord can run faster than all of them, how can He be impersonal? The impersonal conception of the Supreme Lord is another form of ignorance, arising from an imperfect conception of the Absolute Truth.  The ignorant pseudo religionists and the manufacturers of so-called incarnations who directly violate the Vedic injunctions are liable to enter into the darkest region of the universe because they mislead those who follow them. These impersonalists generally pose themselves as incarnations of God to foolish persons who have no knowledge of Vedic wisdom. If such foolish men have any knowledge at all, it is more dangerous in their hands than ignorance itself. Such impersonalists do not even worship the demigods according to the scriptural recommendations.

86. In the matter of events that happened 20+ years ago at NV, one should  approach a reliable person who was at the core of events. You should then check  that person's integrity and credentials to satisfy yourself they are telling  the truth. But if the person supposedly propounding the truth is a chronic blasphemer, we should automatically doubt their veracity. Does the  person follow the four regulative principles? Does the person chant 16 rounds every  day?  Srila Prabhupada said we shouldn't trust anyone who wasn't at least doing this much.

Answer: It hardly seems that any "reliable persons" were at the core of what happened twenty years ago, and that is what has led many persons to question the current status quo.

87. If you truly wish to know about the incidents I have alluded to, then you should ask the only person you knows. I am the only person who knows exactly  what happened, with whom, and why. You can obtain the court transcripts to  find out for yourselves. Go to NV and ask the devotees who were there during this period such as Nityodita or Sulocana's former wife, Yamuna. Ask them if I am  telling the truth. You should substantiate if I am following the regulative  principles, chanting 16 rounds and eating only Krsna prasadam. You should  carefully examine my character and statements to see if I have a propensity for  blaspheming other devotees. You should very carefully examine everything I say. Then  you can make up your mind. Not based on rumor, gossip or slanted commentaries by  blasphemers. It is your choice.

Answer: Tirtha says "i am the only person who knows exactly what happened, with whom and why", as if KRSNA didn't see every crooked turn in the path that he has taken, as if his lies, however well intended, would be adequate to protect these scoundrels from the wrath of our astras, verbal astras, cast at these charlatans in their mad pursuit of wealth, rather than real spiritual value. we remain available for further questions, but hope that the bulk of the decision making process, both within the movement and without, can now be more well served with this information.  in an aside to caitanya mangala, responding to your posting asking for the concerns for "victims rights", your individual rights are subordinate to the devotees right to know what is the real character of these individuals they are being directed to surrender to. we sympathize with "your real concerns", whether they be those you perceive or not. Kirtanananda Swami also asked us to no longer discuss these matters from"too long ago", to have any effect on devotees lives. our answer to that argument is that these events still do have an effect on significant numbers of devotees lives, as well as many others who feel they can no longer be "devotees", becuase of the poor outcome of many of these sad experiences. for any of those of you who felt you had a "right" to keep all these things buried in the past, to maintain the status quo, for whatever stated reason, we respectfully engage in our right to dissent from that opinion. we also, have "earned our rights", and we will not abrogate them in the interests of some others supposed need for anonymity.

So many accusations and counter-accusations shooting back and forth.
Only some impartial investigation committee with complete access to all documents and evidence could really settle this. That is NOT the GBC since they are to far in, have too much to lose, to be trusted in the matter.
Maybe I'm just naive, but I can't think of anything Janmastami has to gain materially by coming forward like this. After all he was at least knee did in the crud that he is now exposing. If anything, Janmastami is taking serious personal risks by coming out in this way, especially if the principals that he claims were involved actually were. These are now powerful people who have access to money and resources. They're playing their cards close their chest at the moment because the 'case is closed'.
It takes a lot of courage to come up against such a juggernaut as ISKCON, with all of its forms of power, secrecy and control in place.
I applaud Janmastami for fighting this fight on the behalf of sincere honest devotees everywhere. This is his most important seva.

This is the age of quarrel and hypocrisy. Everyone wants fame. This is what is keeping us from prema. We will even seek infamy. These are the working of minute part and parcels under the control of the modes of nature. In their next life and possibly many lives after, these events will be completely irrelevant. The only thing that will remain is their attachment to the Holy Name. Hare Krishna
